A whole village of people comes together with their gifts, skills, and personalities to make Gellibrand what it is. Many do their work behind the scenes, but they do not go unnoticed! It’s easy to see all the great people who influence good client outcomes with all they bring to the table.
So it was no surprise to us when Ali offered to come on an extra day out with clients. For 12 years, Ali has been driving taxis for us. Mainly for our day service Meaningful Activities in Partnership (MAP), dropping clients at work, collecting their bags, lunches, and money, and dropping them home again afterward. Ali shows care and is ever thoughtful, always willing to go the extra mile, nothing is too much trouble.
This past weekend, Ali volunteered to ensure clients got to Arthur’s Seat Eagle chairlift. Not only did he drive the taxi, but he also spent the whole day with one of the clients. Making sure the client had a great time and stayed safe, enjoyed the chair lift, and had their lunch at the top of Arthur’s Seat.
