On 30 January 2020, the World Health Organisation declared the coronavirus outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.

Gellibrand is following the advice of both the World Health Organisation and the Victorian Government and this advice is being monitored daily and adjusted accordingly.

We will continue to work proactively and in a manner that is focused on what is best for the health of our clients, staff and community, and for the continuation of our services at Gellibrand.

Gellibrand will continue to reinforce our usual infection control practices and ask visitors to wash their hands upon visiting and at all times after contact with people or surfaces.

We would also respectfully request, that families and visitors who have signs and symptoms of respiratory illness or have recently travelled outside of Australia postpone any visits to our services for at least 14 days after travel/sickness.

We appreciate your patience as we work to best support our clients. We will continue to re-evaluate the situation and plan as guided by the Department of Health and best practice. The health and safety of our community is a shared responsibility and one that we take seriously.

At the current time Gellibrand does not have any diagnosed cases of COVID-19.

If you have any concerns please feel free to contact me at any time.
